Got two out waves on the way back up the mountain from the Cross the border weekend.
I stumbled on the Defender capitol of Australia this long weekend and the wave is alive and well.
Spotted about 15 new looking 110's and 90's with a 100% wave strike rate for the trucks that where being driven at the time.
May have something to do with the great mood Byron Bay puts everyone in when she turns the weather on

Got a nice wave this arvo from a maroon 90 at the entrance to the QV1 car park Perth. Was that Pocket Rocket?
100% wave rate from Defenders in Coffs Harbour today. :)
Got 50% wave rate from Discoveries.
Had 3 comments from non Land Rover owners about how nice the Defender was.
Curious to see what the rest of the week away is like as we head north to Brisbane and back to Melbourne.
I get to pick my 110 this afternoon, and I'll be driving around with the window down, arm on the door, ready to wave at any and everyone!
Going through Grafton today from Glenraegh I got a big wave from Defender with red and blue lights on the roof.
Didn't recognise the logo on the door?
Got 3 waves in about 2 minutes today.
I had to drop mine off at the dealer for some minor warranty work and as I drove past to the lights to do a legal u-turn I spotted a black 110 coming out of the dealer. Turned out they'd just taken delivery. At the lights while I waited for my turn a grey 110 turned onto my road. This one had personal plates. At the same time a Red TD5 with a white roof pulled up opposite me.
Successful waves where exchanged all round.
That would have been the TD5 dual cab Rural Fire Service Defender from the Ulmara Fire Control Center. It would likely have been travelling to or from the Grafton Airport (about 10-12 km South of Grafton on the east of the Highway). Was it red and white (possibly with the spare tyre on the front of the bullbar)?
