Two guys on here just swapped suspension on there 130's one is a tri and the other a td5
after crashing my 96 300tdi 130 mid december i now have a 03 td5 130. swapping all my goodies over but just wondering is there parts i shouldnt worry about like?
does the suspension all just swap over or not. this is my main thing as on the new 130 the front has sagged with weight of bar and winch. and the old girl has 2" lift and hd springs

Between tdi and td5, everything mechanical should swap over.
Only things different (obviously) was engine and all associated electrics.
Depending in the age, you'll possibly have a revised rear axle (Salisbury vs P38/Rover).
Pretty sure radius & trailing arms would be same too.

Possible problems with bulbar spacing as the Td5 will have the extended grill surround and it might foul a Tdi specific mounting...
I pulled my whole axle assemblies and suspension out of my 85 county 110 and bolted it up under my 01 td5 130. The bar should also be fine, I think it's the puma aircon grill extension that fouls older bars.
Hi tazd
What parts were mangled? pm me about this
Keep the Salisbury, they are bullet proof.
.
thanks for that guys. did find the issues with grill and bull bar but nothing a litle fiberglass trimming didnt fix.
going to swap over the front suspension today as the sag in the new girl due to bar and winch is crazy.
plan is to rebuild rear diff as it seems to have blown??? yoke spinning but no drive, had new maxi drives fitted about 6 months ago so think it may be the crown or pinion.
other than that no real plan for the rest unless i make a trailer from the tub.
Does swapping axles over cause any issues with ABS, or does the 130 not have it?
