    the old rattler

As is the way with defender doors mine rattle when shut, especially the drivers. Sounds like the glass rattling in the frame, doesn't matter whether the window is up or down - but it does sound worse when down. Does anyone have tips on repairing/strengthening the window frames to reduce the sound and protect the glass a bit ? Any mini projects done on this kind of thing ?
    Thanks

    Hi pushkin

When I hold my knee against the door my quietens by a couple of dB's.

Keep meaning to have a look inside the door to see if I can fix it for good.

It will be the 'Bailey' channel. U shaped bit of steel with felt/rubber on the inside that the glass slides up n down on. Did mine a while back. It just screws into the steel door frame. Most rubber shops sell it.

I agree, sounds like the Bailey channel is the culprit. If you cannot get hold of a replacement, an i.v.-drip line cut open lengthwise and squeezed into the gap will work wonder. Lasted a few years on my truck. Now it's time for a replacement again, though.
