Love sticking my ore in... There is need to mention lift because if you just lift the front without using an extended panard rod, the axle will move marginally to the right as the vehicle lifts.. so, you're left front wheel would be legal with a 3" lift, but the right pokes out beyond the arch by 3/4".. Using this principal, never let a cop overtake you.. or always overtake patrol cars!! As for bigger tyres, DO IT! You know you want to! As for bigger tyres, DO IT! You know you want to!

My own 110 wagon (2014) has King Wheels 16x7 with a "0" offset, and I have 265/75R16 tyres, but they are also fine for 235/85R16 standard size.

You shouldn't fit 285s to a 7in rim, but 255-85s on a 0 offset sit ok with possibly some slight rubbing on the spring hangers at the rear under full travel, the standard flares cover them well enough.
