    defender tyre placard 110 or 130??

    hi all,

    i have a 1997 build 130 dual cab hcpu. the seat box has a placard that states;

    max allowable vehicle loadings - standard suspension - front axle 1200kg, rear axle 1850kg max operating mass 3050kg
    max allowable vehicle loadings - levelled suspension - front axle 1200kg, rear axle 1750kg max operating mass 2950kg
    wheels 5.5F or 6.5J
    front tyres 28psi rear tyres 48psi

    however i've seen another 130 dual cab seat box where the placard states;

    max allowable vehicle loadings - normal operation on road - front axle 1580kg, rear axle 2200kg max operating mass 3500kg
    max allowable vehicle loadings - off road operation - front axle 1450kg, rear axle 2200kg max operating mass 3500kg
    wheels 6.5J
    front tyres 44psi rear tyres 65psi

    does anyone know why these placards are different? was there a change in specification at some point in time?
    or is it possible that the placard/seat box in my car was originally from a 110 dual cab?

    note: i don't care about what pressures people run, i'm curious about the diffrence in max allowable vehicle loadings.

    cheers

    wayne

    In my '98 130 the tyre placard is inside the nearside rear door and mirrors the second one you've listed.

    AFAIK all 130's that were sold in Oz met the same specs.

    Hi,
    The compliance plate under the bonnet on the firewall will give the GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass).
    What does that say?

    compliance plate states 3500kg GVM.

    so i guess the placard on the seat box is from a 110 dual cab. Anyone with a dualcab able to confirm?

    cheers

    I'm guessing a 110 wagon.
