Thread: gearbox problems

Hey everyone i lifted my defender not long back and after my car developeded a click noise everytime i change out of 5th gear. iv just put new oil in her and the gears are changing alot better but that clicking noise is still there. Has anyone had this problem or know what it could be. Its not a continuous click noise just happenings as i pull it out of 5th gear. cheers

this is normal,

it's the reverse lock out latch, stops you coming out of 5th and into reverse,

all 380's do this
