Interested, especially if they had a 'no nonsense' liner like chequerplate or similar, door pocket and provision to put a speaker into it (front and rear).

There is certainly a market for doors, especially with the rust issues we all consistently get!

I'd like to see someone roll out some doors from 4mm aluminium chequerplate, with the chequer on the inside. Then TIG weld on some U section to imitate the frame and allow all the insides to be attached. Imagine that, a door that wouldn't dent!

In the meantime, I do have a rust free pair of Defender front doors bubblewrapped in my shed. I'll list them in the markets section.

No fibreglass or alloy doors yet. Have been very busy. But Aulro will be the first to know if they get done.
    Cheers,

I think everyone who owns a defender over 10 years old, a county or aseries would be interested in doors. Are you selling shares in your new soon to be very profitable venture yet? Second hand doors in even reasonable condition are going for a motsa. Would there be any licensing issues with producing doors? How would fibreglass really stand up to vibration and impact and to gain the strength wouldn't there be a fair bit of weight associated with them?

No nothing has come of it yet. But thanks for dredging up this thread and reminding me.

There was a guy in the states that was already doing fibreglass doors - maybe the OP saw his details and gave it a miss

People keep talking about these.... But no one seems to buy and install them.
