Stinkin hot and humid, tired and grumpy wife and 6yo, jump in the Landy and no go! No lights on the dash, no clicks, no cranking?? Grabbed the jumper leads and found a donor, no change?? Checked every fuse/connector/relay I could find, no change? Decided to have a look at the back of the ignition switch and as I was tugging on the wires the whole plastic disc with the contacts came off in my hand. At least it was then easy to bridge the right wires together and get home.
Have not yet got the barrel out to have a look at rebuilding the switch.
Has anyone else seen this?
Where do I go for a new switch if I can't fix this one?

yep have been through all that including the steering lock starting to drag/do strange things. Binned the whole lot and went to a missile switch and start button.

Had this happen to me a few weeks ago, bought a new unit through Linn Rover in Perth who sourced ex East for $130 odd plus air bag freight cost of $22, installed works a treat
Ian,
Had the back end of the 2002 130 ignition switch 'fall out', but managed to remove the lock and re-crimp. Then I had the starter position spring re-sign so now have to make sure key is re-set to ON.
Would prefer the separate switches in future!
