    HCPU mudguards

Finally took delivery of my new 130 dual cab.

Apart from the tub tailgate jamming shut I cant fault it.

There was an information for coach builders placard hanging on the mirror "This vehicle requires rear wheel guards prior to driving on public road in accordance with ADR 42/02 Clause 14.2"

I looked up ADR and the mudguard should fully cover the tyre section width 30 deg to front and 50 to the rear. The 235-86-16 continentals extend about 40mm past the bodywork of the HCPU tub. The mudflap does extend past to body.

The way I read the ADR the vehicle is non compliant and should have wheel arches (flares), as standard.

I will be on to the dealer to see if I can get some rear flares, but would be interested if anyone has been down that road.

No HCPU has ever had flares/guards from the factory or dealer, and yes the tyres hang outside the body.

I'm guessing that info tag hanging off your mirror is for tray builders as most well backs are removed and a drop side tray fitted.

Rick130 is spot on , land rover never officially did rear flairs on the hcpu range, however, the utility company's in the uk have them fitted, by LRSV. You can buy them, the front ones fit the rear.

Or you can just use garden edging...mine sticks out 50mm. I bought a roll of 75mm wide edging from Bunnings Hardware.

It's a bit fidly to fit as you need to make access holes in the edging to sit neatly over the rivets inside the guard. It's just tek screwed and glued with black silicone.

    Cheers

Yes, just fit normal front flares, hold in position, use stainless tek screws i trimmed mine back where they extend past the wheel arch.
Tec screws penetrate into dual skin cavity and are not seen in tray.
