    DEFENDER XTREME ALIVE TD5

Is it possible to send remote handset (have lost the spare) to a dealer for duplication?
I live 700 km from a dealer and can only drive out July-November.
Alternatively can I disengage the whole engine immobilizer system remotely?
    Cheers DIGBY HOUGHTON

I'm sure someone very close to you could do this for you.

Send a PM to Derek (dmdigital on here) & seek his advice first.

    Hi Digby,
Don't know about the first question but you can disable the immobilizer function with a nanocom and still retain your remote central locking. this enables you to use both your key and remote for access.
I disabled my immobilizer function so in remote areas I don't have to worry about the EKA procedure if the fob stops working.
Lowers the theft security a bit but I am more than happy to live with that.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
