    Fuel filler

    Hi all
I have the usual fuel filler leak on my tray back.( 300tdi)
There are some county style fuel fillers available with out the lock. ( steel cap)
Can any one tell me weather they seal up good or will it just leak when the ute gets on a angle like the existing one .
    Cheers

    Hi,

I've put one of those in my County {spout/extension and cap assembly} about 7-8 months ago. No leaks that I've noticed to date with petrol anyway, which is a lot more than than I can say about the original filler which leaked everywhere.

Assuming where talking about the same thing then I Think it'll be OK till like most seals the rubbers harden and then the leaks start.

It's all to do with the angle of the filler neck. I had to cut a gap n the tie down rail on my old ute so I could make the fuel cap end sufficiently high.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
