You need a water bottle, an eskie, some food and a few maps.
General Grabbers are fantastic tyres, they blew me away when I first drove on them.
As many have said, just get out there and enjoy it - you will start to see what you need as you go.
Re the Driving lights - cheaper ones will work find for a while, but they will stuff up fast and break easily. I've had Navas and such and they were great for a short time, but as they are plastic they break, fill up with water and cause problems. This time I went for a good set - IPF 900XS. Buy once. Save money.
When I got my county I was so surprised how capable it was. Most of the 'standard mods' for the Japanese and American cars are simply not needed.. and often you end up replacing something that is working fine with something that is inferior and will fail sooner that the OEM part (or cause other problems).
But before you think about any of this you need to go and get muddy, then come back a post pics!
