    Free spare wheel transportation service

    Hi all,
I am offerring a free spare wheel and tyre transportation service between Broome and Cunanurra. The only catch is if I get two flats I will use your spare on the Gibb river rd.
If you need me to transport it any further I am willing to drop it off in Birdsville later in the year.

Joking. I'm actually after some info about where abouts I may be fortunate enough to pick up a second spare around the Broome Derby area. I don't care about what rim it is as I'm only needing it for a second spare.
    Thanks in advance.

Ps the puma has clocked up 13000 k's so far on this trip and has never looked back.

Don't worry about the wheel, just buy an extra tyre to match existing ones - much lighter to carry and even if you are unable to fit it yourself, there are a few roadhouses along the way that could assist you. Or some well equipped, experienced traveller will come along and lend a hand.

The Gibb is not that bad on tyres, provided you drive to the conditions and keep your speed reasonable. Better to be sure than sorry though and the extra donut (of a matching size) just may come in handy.

    Have a safe, enjoyable trip.
    Roger

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like the go. I'll sniff around for a spare tyre.

You will find there is wrecker in Derby that will have a couple of series land rovers in his yard. If you want a wheel you will most likely get one there.

Some people do away with carrying a second wheel and just strap a tyre up against the spare on the back, saves a few kilos not having to carry that second wheel rim.

I carried a second spare complete with wheel rim but strapped it down on the roof bars.
