    Roll Cages

Has anyone looked at this compony for roll over protection for Defenders?
That seem to cover most models. I am currently awaiting a price on roll cage number LO11 to suit the 110.

    Allan,

They have a long heritage with Land Rover. They built the ROPS for the Camel Trophy vehicles and are pretty much rated the authoroty on Defender roll cages.

I may be getting paranoid in my old age, but after seeing a Puma at the wreckers here in Perth following a roll over, I am very close to spending the $$$'s to fit one.

    Hey Allan,

They look the goods, but I wonder how much ?

It is simply design, it doesn't look to hard to have one made up.

One thing for sure it is very good idea to have some sort of roll over protection.

    Cheers

Also check protection and performance - thats who my cage is made by.

Protection & Performance Ltd - Rollcages

They probably do more Rover specific stuff nowdays than safety devices

I would go for this lot over Safety Devices they make a lot better cage and charge the earth for it.

Also safety devices is not the same company that built the camel Landy cages they went bust about 8 years ago and was bought by the polish.

If you check the link to PP cages, and click on the Bespoke 110 cage section you will see a friend of mines 110 camper/ series ambulance body. It has a turbo intercooled 4BD1, a Aus Milspec LT95 and is currently in the UK awaiting a trip to Mongolia and Russia this year.

I too am very interested in that cage, if you could post the price up when they reply to your email it would be much appreciated. I have a contact here that may be able to get them in too. I will investigate from my end.

If you do not want to install an internal cage, consider a proper cargo barrier (eg. Midford). I've seen how well they held up the roof in a rollover.
