How good are you with a welder and a grinder?![]()
Just wondered if there was a possibility of moving my ARB winch bar from my old 83 Rangie to my 2012 90 Puma? Just a thought! Can't imagine it would be straightforward but maybe....??
I have to admit I haven't had a proper look yet.
Discojools.

Probably not that good! Goin up the shed to have a look now.
To be a bit of a party pooper - even if it does fit it I believe that it will be totally illegal as the Puma is a vehicle in an era where everything has to be certified - including the bar that will need to have a certification plate for the Puma. Can impact insurance etc.
I have a similar issue with my RRS - no bull bar certified for it but a D3 bar will fit but is illegal to fit - I will be speaking to an engineer to see if I can legally fit the D3 bar and then get it certified for the RRS through the engineering approval process.

you have airbags though Garry a puma doesn't so I can understand the ramifications of fitting a bar that is not engineered for that specific car when airbags come in to play.
As far as I'm aware you can still build a bar for the defender as long as it complies with ADR's I have not heard of front protection needing to be engineered (not talking about your case more the defender).
my guess will be though that it wont fit simply because the puma grill sticks out a fair way due to the air conditioning im not sure about yours obviously but i have seen other rangie bars that appear to fit quite close.
offer it up and have a look my guess is no
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

All sounds a bit of a faf....will save my pennies and get a proper one, probably an ARB..Can anyone recommend anything else? Have seen a TJM on a D2 which is more tubular but the one they make for the Fender doesn't look the same.
Never mind the legal points
Have a nice new puma and going to put a bull bar on which will not fit right and look crap.
Can't understand that one
