						hello all
i was driving along yesterday and put my foot down to overtake and noticed a bit of a lack of power, i opened my vent to see if the motor was making any weird sounds i noticed the turbo didn't sound right instead of the normal shhhhh in was sh sh sh sh sound in was broken up. so i decided to slow down and see if i could notice anything else and the motor didn't seem to be idling very well extremely rough and shaky and then on acceleration rattled a little bit but got moving no worries, i drove for another 20kms with the lack of power and rough idling pulled in to a servo turned it off came back a minute later and it started fine again. idled perfectly and the lack of power was gone
this has happened to days in a row now.
any thoughts?
oh its a 2005 130 TD5
chipped before i purchased other than that its stoke standard
intercooler hose delaminating is my first guess.

Does it happen when you put the foot down but not if you accelerate slowly?
May be the boost controller (the computer senses an overboost happening so cuts fuel) or as Blacknight said delaminating intercooler hoses.
no boost controller on the deefer....
but the MAP may be sensing over boost and cutting you off but that wont give you the noise.

its happening when accelerated quickly and slowly.
just drove it to the mechanics at first no problems but once again when i slowed up to turn it started idling rough and not accelerating well.
will keep you guys updated with the mechanics response
thanks for all of your responses

Sounds like a contaminated injector loom to me, or an injector fault, but don't discount a fuel pump failing either.

						hey everyone
It was an injector harness giving me the problems, so $430 all fixed.
thanks for all your advice
