I think you will have to get a bigger yard or stop collecting. You are getting quite a collection now. Are you and Mick having a competition. Look forward to seeing the new addition.
 HELP Please! 85 County V8 VIN Locat'n(s)?
 HELP Please! 85 County V8 VIN Locat'n(s)?
		Hi,
Mid purchase and PO is having trouble getting a clear VIN from plate on firewall.
Is there a stamp or something on chassis?
Where abouts is the secondary VIN location likely to be if there is one?
Thanks in advance for your help, appreciate your time.
Dave & "The Count"
P.S. I know the rules and photo's will follow as soon as he's formally ours!

My Land Rover has made me a better Mechanic........
D2 TD5 Manual, CDL, Detroit Rear, Truetac Front, 2" OME lift, 32" MT Tyres, ARB Bull Bar, Winch, TJM Roof Rack, Driving Lights, Dual Batteries, ARB Side Steps, Rear Draws, Uhf.
Just back from the front of the RH chassis rail, on the outboard side.
There is a sort of triangular wedge added under the main rail and its stamped on that.
Steve
CN should be on the (rhs) front of the RH chassis rail -
can be missing if there has been repair of accident damage at this point
should be a letter & number combination like "SALLDHMZ + 3 letters and 7 digits"
if you are checking online on the PPRS Personal Property Securities Register it will be registered as a "chassis no" not a "VIN" even though it's the same (according to them old vehicles do not have VINs ... hmmm...)

I know its improving LR wise... and I do want a real big shed one day! Am nowhere near Micks numbers yet though!
Just finalising all the details now, will still need to fix "The Count" up and flog off the Mrs LC105. Then I can commence operation "Devious Dave" and work out how to get hold of a nice 101 Winch Truck before Mrs knows what's hit her!
When the mystical "one day 101" takes its first trip out with my boys and I, towing a half ton camper trailer I will be truely contented!

FIXED NOW, thanks for the posts!
