    110 Indicator problem.

    Hey,
My brothers having problems with his defenders indicators.
    Its a 92 200tdi 110.
The problem is that his fuse keeps blowing no matter what size/type he's using and we're wondering if this is a common issue, i had a quick look in the good oil section but didn't find anything.
If anyones experienced this let me know what you found wanna try avoid taking it to a mechanic.

    Cheers,

I had a problem like that. I'd lose tail lights, indicators and a few other necessaries.
Turned out it was the interior light/dash light/blackout switch shorting. Took 17 fuses for a 200km drive before I worked that one out.

    Blown fuse

First take out all the globes and see if it still happens.
If it still does take out the whole light and disconnect the tail from behind this
Will tell if you have short to earth. Then just a case of moving back through the wires till you find problem

My right indicators were blowing the fuse. After many web searches and much time testing things, I pulled out the right side bulbs then activated the winkers with each bulb in by itself. Turned out to be the indicator lamp in the arb bull bar that had rusted and was allowing power to track to earth. The original lamps are no longer available , but I got suitable LED replacements through a local parts shop. They are made by LED Technologies

You can also get a 20W 12V bulb, solder alligator clips to it, then run it parallel to the fuse whilst testing. It'll prevent the fuse from blowing and visually alert you as to when the problem is encountered.

I assume that fuse 3 is the one that blow ? Do you loose fuel gauge and temp gauge at the same time ?

I had this problem and believe it or not isolated the problem to the rear wiper park circuit shorting somewhere (most likely in the chassis somewhere) disconnected it at header 109 behind the dash.
