    Cargo barrier behind front seats?

I have a 5 door County and would like to fit a cargo barrier behind the front seats. I don't plan to fit any rear seats, but will use this area as a load space.

Does anyone know whether there is a commercially available barrier to fit in this position? Otherwise, has anyone made one? It doesn't sound too difficult but I'd like to hear what others have done.

    Gday dave,

I am thinking I want one too as I don't want to cop an engel or 25 hp mercury outboard to the back of the head on the way up the cape.

Here is one off ebay, in brissy too. Not sure if it sits behind the front seats or the back seats. The height of it makes me think it mounts behind the front seats.

Thanks Scott. I actually sent that guy a question and he said it fits behind the rear seats, which started me thinking and then posting this thread. I'm sure an outboard to the head would hurt more than a mountain bike

I made my own. Attached the top brackets to the roof channel above the doors, and the bottom to some plates that sit on the floor behind the front seats. Plates have a dog-leg extension that picks up on the holes where the rear bench seat used to mount, and I put some insertion rubber under the plates. I didn't bolt it through the floor as I wanted to be able to remove it without having to pull out sill tanks etc from underneath.

Main loop was bent up out of some 32mm medium wall gal tube as I wanted it to also be a bit of rollover protection.
