			Defender Fridge Mod

I thought I would share a small mod I did to my Engel fridge to suit my Puma.

When I fitted the Drifta drawers and remounted the 40L Engel on top I didn't realise I wouldn't be able to fully open the door so that it stayed open. After using a stick to prop it open for a while I decided I should do something more practical.

I fitted a stainless steel gas strut, pop riveted to the fridge with SS pop rivets. Total cost about $90 including brackets. Cheaper if you select plain steel.

Very neat, just what I need. Would you mind posting up details of the strut you used, the pressure and the brackets (or PM)?

Strut was a K375SS-15-150 set at 50N (the lowest pressue). Brackets were KB104S. Both purchased on line from Struts Australia.
