Thread: Which seal do I Leave Out

Fitting Ashcroft axles and flanges to the rear of the 110 Puma, which seal do I leave out so the splines are constantly lubricated? The rear axle parts list numbers are: 15 FTC5628 - oil seal; 14 - Part No:FTC4785-oil seal; or 8 FRC8222 - seal. I am guessing it is No: 8 - FRC8222.
Your assistance required please.

You need a different seal altogether if you want to run the wheel bearings and lubricate the splines in oil. You need to fit RTC3511 to the hub, and remove the seal in the stub axle behind the needle roller bearing.
