Thread: 200TDi Water Pumps

Not sure what i'm doing wrong but the search doesn't seem to work so apologies if this has been covered previously


What aftermarket water pumps are people using on their 200tdi Defender Engines and how well are they lasting..
Mine sprang a leak last night and after ringing around today the only one i can get is a Britpart one ........
givien a close friends experiences in the bush with failures of Britpart mechanical items I'm more than a little apprehensive to run one ..

I have just replaced mine x 2! Got a cheaper option from Paddocks in the UK, it started leaking after a couple of thousand km, it looked like it had been rebuilt, sent them some piccys of the leak and we ended up me paying the difference between an OE and the cheepy, they freighted it out for free to NZ for free.
I can't remember the brand name, but it wasn't Britpart. You don't want to go aftermarket on the cooling or braking system I reckon.
