Is it leaking from the diaphragm or one of the connections?

If its a connection, its a known issue for the factory plastic fuel tube from the filter to be on the tight side and place stress on the lift pump fitting and cause it to crack. Replacing the plastic tube with rubber fuel hose thats a bit longer fixes it.

And, if it's the diaphragm , the fix is to pack out the new pump (either with another gasket or copy from shim metal) about 1.5 mm so the pumping action isn't as hard on the diaphragm. Apparantly this is listed as a LR fix.

(ps - Another minor problem I've encountered with the compression fittings - make sure you use two spanners, as if you let it twist, it could unseat the pipe in the casting)

not using 2 spanners can also twist and deform the olive on the plastic pipe.

I just fit loop hoses to the mechanical pumps and plumb in and then wire electrical pumps to the fuel solenoid.

I keep killing pumps as the LR mech pump doesnt seem to like what I'm using in place of diesel.
