There is nothing stupid about a 6bt cummins, perhaps a little overkill for our application. It's little brother the 4bt(3.9lt) would be a perfect swap in a defender, problem is they are a little thin on the ground here in Australia. I only mentioned the 6bt because I have one sitting in the shed for my 61 f100 unibody project. Also 6bt have been successfully fitted to a number of defenders, one of which was a 90!!!
