Hi all
From my earlier experience with RRC D1 and D2 the "snatch" (recovery) point is was quite substantial. Big bloody "D" ring attached with flanges and a few big bolts through the chassis.
My SVX which arrived with a winch bar, and I won't go into that this time (drip), has only the front tie down rings which the HB says are the recovery points. One lousy 10 or 12mm bolt "in shear", and the chassis looking forward to "in bearing" failure.
Are either, or both together, up to the job without killing anybody, or is there something missing. Recall LR used to flog a "pretty bar" for the D2 and ditched the snatch ring at installation.
Cheers

DON'T use the existing rings. They're only really for tying the vhicle down in transit and are not even any good for straight towing. They will swivel on their bolts and make a mess of the chassis paint if they don't fail altogether. If you do a search there are plenty of threads on peoples' solutions to front tie-down (try looking for Scallops recovery hooks or something).
Edit: Can be found here...
found this on the forum,

I'm always very nervous about using those rings for recovery...
Get something more substantial fitted. JATEs are good but my preference is for a jaw & pin.

Thanks guys. Will have to dwell on all of that.

Beware the chassis tube is not the same width front and back, just FYI when you do order some. (...and remember to use a bridle as suggested)
I have set for the front (new) which you can have. PM me your detail if you want them
