I'm sure some parts of the toolholders are still available from Land Rover, there was a thread somewhere that listed the part numbers and availability (probably in the Ex Military section).Quote:

Series vehicles had them as well,on the guards,as the tyre was on the bonnet.Donno if it was a factory or aftermarket option.My father had a S3 company vehicle in the seventies that had them.Can't find a pic of it,found a pic of another one he had that didn't have the tool holders.
The bonnet mounted tools seems like a great idea! BUT, I have a bonnet mounted spare tyre on my 1958 S11, gets it out of the way Whata "B" to lift the bonnet, it weighs a ton...SO on my 1985 110 County I put my 2nd spare on the Tropical Roof, over the front cab, molunted on a series "bonnet spare holder" it goes up fairly easily (I'm 71) and I dont use the 2nd spare quite as many times as I lift the Bonnet!! I'm surely going to put the old Series Army tools holders on the bonnet, though!
have you thought about the pommy tool holders?
