    Defender ECU part#s difference

Does anybody know what the difference is between.
    NNN000120 and
    NNN500020 ecu's ?

I have bought a spare of ebay for my 02 Defender.
The seller has stated that it is off a Defender.

All I have been able to ascertain is that NNN000120 was superseded by
NNN500020 but no details to any 'difference'.

I have a Nanocom and plan on writing the settings from my ECU to the spare and also the security learn function.
Is that all there is to it?

    Cheers,
    Paul.

They have some differences at a circuit level - the type of driver transistors were changed to reduce generated noise is one example - which require different software but both are suitable for a manual Td5 with the correct map.

What you will need to do is use the Nanocom Map Wizard ( download from :: Download - Nanocom :: ) to generate a map to suit the combination of Engine (EU2 or EU3) and the ECU model you have. The Defender maps come in 90 and 110 variants.

    cheers
