    tie down point ideas?

    Hi there.

Has anyone got pics to share of their tie down points, inside tray or back of wagon?

Wanting to install some loops in back of 130 crewcab and don't want to butcher it.

    Cheers

    Tie down points

I have used hitching rings made for tying horses to horse floats. They have a flat plate which is raised in the centre to form a small hump. This has a hole drilled through each side, which then has a 5mm thick gal ring inserted through, roughly 60mm diameter. Plenty strong enough, especially if bolted to the floor or sides of the vehicle. They can be attached with two or four bolts. Base plate is aprox 70mm square. Available at most produce type stores or float manufacturers.

the aircraft ones are the best.

I use them to tie down my fridges.

can get them in just about any length.

can get them at most 4wd accessories stores now (ARB do some and so do T-max)

Yes, x3. These are the way to go.
I like the chain idea for a tray though.

I bought these from paddocks in the uk, I have however upgraded the plates that the screws or bolts screw into, as the original ones are not very substantial
