Wondering how strong they are compared to a stock bumper.
and also the cheapest place to get them.

Rovacraft quoted me $690 i think it was + delivery to Brisbane at whatever that would cost.
    is this a good price?

    thanks.

The Mantec Winch Bumper is the same as the winch bumper supplied by Land Rover except it does not have the additional rubber attachments on the outer. As far as I am aware, it is made for LR by Mantec, as is the OEM raised air-intake. I have the OEM version and it is very strong with two very good recovery points. I have not seen any testing but I am sure it would be much stronger than the original bumper. You need to be mindful that the bumper does not project as far forward as many winch bumpers and consequently may not house some winches. I have a Warn 9.5ti. I am sure Mantec would advise. I have found them very helpful via email.

    Cheers

    Thanks Karl,

I think ill have to get one.
Ill be using a ridge rider 12000lb winch with it untill I can afford to get myself a nice Warn Winch (already have the ridge rider from last car)

from what I know its the same mounting size and dimensions as and xd9000 Warn which im led to believe the 9.5ti is based on(as are most winches on the market!)?

Yes I have one. Although mine has a custom A bar on it and also noticed that the area for the winch is slightly more rounded where mine is squared off..but Im guess ing thats just the change in design

I wanted to keep the more of the original look on mine hence why I went for that bar I didnt know it was Mantec when I bought it so I was pretty bloody happy when it turned up as Mantec make bloody good stuff.

this bar has been on 4.5years now...I would not change it, and yes while we dont have the corner wing protection like the ARB provides we have hit a large wallaby with it and it was fine.

Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
