I had a visor on the 109 during my travels around the northern lump during the mid 70's, I had taken to wearing shorts instead of the double kneed long trousers and the shade was great for my exposed knees.
I went a step further after loosing a couple of windscreen glasses in quick succession around Central Aus and fitted some bird mesh around the visor, then down onto a strap that was tek screwed onto each side of the window frame just above the bonnet.
One time near Whitnoom it had copped a beauty, a large rock came out of between the back tyres of a truck going the other way, fair in front of my face, the wire was pushed back to the glass which didn't break, if that stone guard hadn't been there I might not be here either.
So I say, be nice to your knee's,
get a visor fitted you will be pleased.
