WOT.....what was that, about 157 rpm and 7 hp
I fixed that problem with some stick on velcro to the floor and mat .No further problems in 18 mths
if you really want to find max WOT, just add a couple extra ltrs of engine oil and go for a drive.....preferably up a windy single lane road
Its a shame you fixed it so quick Rick,
I was going to suggest you undo the throttle cable, twist on a piece of no. 8
punch a hole in the bonnet, and then just feed it through the window, of course YOU would have twitched a loop for a handle....

Steve, Serg has seen my bonnet release, it isn't so different
[edit] It was a temporary fix when the cable snapped and I've had a new cable for, oh, maybe six months or more now :o

I thought a defender only get good once the bonnet release was a loop of number 8
Isnt that how ALL good fenders are rigged?
ps glad you got the easy fix - now you can go back to dreaming about never doing a zuzu transplant ;)
