Standardish. Perentie springs are their own part number and unique but as far as I can tell about the same height as a normal Defender. Is there a problem with these shocks in Defenders?

The only problem with these shocks in a defender, is when the defender doesn't have them fitted..:cool:

The problem comes if people have a two inch ish lifted defender. The koni 90's (despite beng branded as such) are not long enough!
Std height defenders are fine though.

I have had KONI Raids in a 130 Tdi (Standard ride Height)for 2 1/2 years have to say that they are excellent, absolutely no fade and great when fully laden
I shipped them out of the US landed for AUD $1050 I thought they were good value and would definitely buy them again.
yep can vouch for that. The +40's do have 25mm more than standard though. I bought +40 when I was working with a 25mm lift. Now I have 50mm lift perhaps the +60 would be better as marketed.
In saying that a did a trip last year and the vehicle bottomed out perhaps 25 times over all. Sometimes pretty hard and always fully loaded but always at relatively slow speeds. My vehicle bumps had a good 25mm of air between them and the diff.
After pulling the shock off for adjusting I see the internal rubber stops have done very well for themselves. No damage on the rubber or the top of the shock but certainly seen some action. The tyres however were also bottoming on the tray, so may have been there saving grace. I have lengthened the vehicle bumps now to do their job so much more relieved.
I will add, lube the shockie hangers on the vehicle with never seize or something. It has only been 12 months since mine we last off the car and the sleeve in the shock's eye rubber had rusted onto the hanger. Bugger of a job to separate, and a trip to Fulcrum to have it pressed back together.
