Cool The "I just got some Koni Raid shocks photo"

These things are huge. Often in engineering bigger really does mean better.

you could use that defender shock on your toilet roll holder

would your smile be dampened a little if I posted some pics of my Bilstein 9100's

From what I understand, the Raids are based on Koni's 90 series truck/bus range (ie for piston/bore size) The normal 4wd range being 82 series. There are also 87, 88 and 92 series. Rick130 may be able to provied some specs on piston bore shaft sizes

Well the defender shock in my picture could have been a toilet roll holder. Remote reservoir shocks don't really do it for me, all a bit too blingy. I'm even concerned these things are bright red, they should make them in matt black.

Get some good quality high temp satin black spray paint. My 88 series are currently undergoing a repaint in black

Geebus, and you reckon I'm slow

At the rate your going with painting your Koni's I'll have finally decided what engine I want, bought it, rebuilt it, installed it and half worn it out, and I probably won't make my mind up for a another four years or the Tdi self destructs, which ever occurs first

Not wanting to put a dampener on things, but is your Defender standard height or raised?
