Thread: HELP! 300Tdi headlights wont turn off??

The switch may have melted the contacts together, or if you already have upgraded to relays they may have stuck/ fused contacts.

My money is on a melted switch

I did think of that but I put a new Lucas light switch in a bit over a year ago so didn't think that it would have burnt out that fast?... Definitely worth a look though, I'll check it out tomorrow.
It does have some sort of light wiring upgrade that was in it when I bought it, pretty sure that there are no extra relays, something that I would like to do though so how/where do you wire them in?
And if the contacts in the switch are burnt together would the lights still be on with the ignition off? Because myn stay on unless i unhook the battery....

If you pull the lamp fuse do they stay on?

There are 2 relays at bottom on the fusepanel area near the gearlever, for the headlights, unplug them and see if the lights go out, perhaps they're stuck in.

I tried those fuses first, there are two for high and two for low beam, took them all out but no difference. Pretty sure its low beam that is staying on luckily!

Not really sure what else to look at now!

I was talking about relays, not fuses. Though if you've pulled the headlight fuses and the lights are on there must be a headlight relay elsewhere in the circuit, maybe that's the problem.
