    EGR What to do

I am presently sitting in my Puma watching it poor down with rain in Bowen but my biggest concern is the egr,its making a squeeking noise on ite self clean cycle at shutdown. Can I electricalyl disconnect it ,so no other problems can occur until I get home for a remap.

Don't disconnect it. Driving it when it's noisy is fine, and you can Safely drive it home.

Disconnecting it will probably put it into limp home mode.

Mine got real squeaky once, then it got better and worked fine for another 30k until I BAS Map'd it into oblivion...

Just leave it be as suggested by others.

    I disconnected my Egr

Yes you can disconnect electronically . My car did not go into limp mode - it infact has performed better and more efficiently. Only thing that has changed for me is the engine mgmt light came on. I'm sure if the engine has issues ill know about it as opposed to a warning light telling me.

I disconnected my EGR electrically. The only difference I can see is the engine is a lot more rattly than usual.

Any effects on engine operation or issues after the physical disconnection.

You can remove it and clean it.

Or try using some diesel cleaner or 2SO to help prevent it from being clogged.
