    Rubberized Shock Tower Securing Rings

Has anyone fitted these to a defender? If so, did it make a difference is comfort or sound?

I fitted them when I did the following, they are a discovery part

Replaced shock with TF big bore expedition shocks
    lifted 2" using King Springs
fitted larger BFG Mud terrain tires
    removed middle muffler..

Could hear any difference over the noise!

Anyway you reduce metal on metal on the suspension must improve NVH
    Seems a good idea
Don't buy from any aftermarket place should be just about free from any Landy wrecker (off of a d2 front)
I wonder how a neatly cut rubber ring/circle would work in the rear??

They only fit on the front springs on a 110, as the rears have a larger diameter. They don't seem to make any difference to NVH, and the chop out in about a year.

Given that you have to remove the shock to fit them, it's a 1-2 hour job, so half a day of your life is gone by the time you buy them, fit them and clean up.

    That's odd
I've seen very high km d2's that haven't worn the rubber ring out
I'd imagine untrapped/loose springs could wear this area with grit fretting
Can't see how NVH wouldn't be reduced , why else would the more refined d2 have them?
    I say go for it
If I went down to toorak tractor and asked/hassled Adrian, he would probably throw them at me!(free)
I'm putting some in with new bushes shortly
