    Fuel pump removal

Anyone got any tips on how to undo the plastic ring that secures the fuel pump? I am accessing through a newly installed Mulgo hatch but the ring is seized and as it is plastic I am worried about damaging the lugs.

    Cheers

Blow air to the area around the ring to remove any dirt and crap. Then spray a bit of crc around the ring. Let it soak, Tap a lug lightly at the base then the lug on the opposite side. Don't use anything sharp like a screwdriver use something with a flat face.
    Best of luck.

    fuel pump removal

    hi there.
i had the same trouble and what worked for me was a oil filter removal tool the one that fits on the end of a socket wrench with a extension. it just has a strap made out of seatbelt material on it which you wrap around the plastic nut.

I have never had a problem with a large screwdriver and a tapometer.( and lots of care and holding mouth in correct position)
