Hi Bud
My dad went down the path of option 3 was not very happy in the end with that conversion and sold the Defender 110 Extreme.
I also did all the research on doing the other two conversions the costings were similar.
My choice would be to go with the compushift rather than trying to wire into the Defender the Discovery ECU and Automatic ECU.
Regards
Steve
The cost appears to be anywhere from VERY HIGH up to ARE YOU BLOODY SERIOUS I NEED THAT KIDNEY !!!!
I have no idea what method MR use but I did geta lift in Warrens old Auto / Chipped TD5 and it went like a rocket !!!
How much are the quotes? Ashcroft charge approx $7600 installed with a new gearbox or $5900 for parts including box, so you could reduce that is you got a second hand box. Obviously there is still freight to factor in.
For a TD5 ? That's a good price.
There is a 110 td5 auto for sale in Redcliffe
