We finished the firewall on the weekend. We have to put Sikaflex on the joins next to stop the rust from getting in.

After we put Sikaflex on the firewall Mum painted it with primer two weeks ago.
My uncle Chris gave us a better gearbox. Thanks Uncle Chris.
It has been raining lots so Mum only got the new paint done on the weekend.

The defender is finished and now back on the road! Today we gave it a clean and the next job is to put a new radiator in it. Uncle Chris, the gearbox R380 works really well and no noise at all, thanks Uncle Chris.

Today we replaced the passenger side footwell. There is still a hole near the gearbox tunnel though so we are going to weld in a piece of angle line.

Tomorrow we will do the drivers side.
Great work on the footwells. I have a similar job to do. Did you buy or make the replacement?
