We used a 6T press, small portable SCA Brand.
The 6T jack had a relief valve problem and was making bugger all pressure.
Put the 4T bottle jack in that I keep behind the seat and it managed with relative ease.

98% of all Land Rovers built are still on the road.
The other 2% made it home.

Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.

Having failed miserably in obtaining any of the correct equipment I removed the bushes from my SIII using a two step process: firstly I had some fun with a blow torch which ignited and burnt the rubber so the inner metal tube just fell out and used a screw driver to remaining rubber which came out in one piece. I then used a hacksaw, well actually a reciprocating saw, to make a single cut in each of the outer metal sleeves. I then used a large screw driver and hammer to separate the sleeve at the newly made cut. All up about about 15 minutes of relatively easy work for each bush.

I did the front suspension yesterday, having done the rear suspension about six months ago. I had intended to replace the bushes with genuine land rover but without a press no matter how much hammering I tried i was never going to get them in, so I reverted to poly bushes. The thirty seconds it took me to fit them far outweighed the cost.
