on the front bottom left hand side of the radiator
there is a hose connected to a spigot
but i found that the spigot is sealed as though they have forgotten

I have just fitted a new radiator to my TD5 Defender. The front spigot had a small hole running to a reducer fitted to the fuel cooler. The rear spigot connected to the oil cooler was blanked off, seeing it was not in a cooling circuit,I blanked it off at the cooler and removed the metal pipe and hose.

    Hi Eddy,
Like yourself I recently fitted a new radiator to the Defender, however I didn't get the second page of the Tech Bulletin, what you posted was real handy and explained some of the stuff I wasn't sure about. Thank you.

I've managed to get hold of some Kalrez o-rings to elimiante the problem with the leaking o-rings in the fuel cooler. I have been trying to find some 7mm hose clamps to replace the rubbish clips that were original, can only get the standard 9mm so I've now cut out the four slots in the standard hose clamp where the location pegs go in the housing. Quite handy actually the slots stop the hose clamp spinning around. The trip up to Coarl Bay will prove if the idea works or not, we'll see.
