    What are the pros and cons to blocking the egr valve on my td5.

    DO IT , DO IT, DO IT ,DO IT .......just do it.

    Buy a blanking kit , I got the Td5 Alive kit and my engine changed instantly!, smoother and more torque
    Only con is that it's a bit naughty

    Keith,there are many kits available, check the good oil!. I paid about $70-80 for mine about 3yrs ago from TD5 Alive.
