I don't think anyone can report that at 2 years their's are not in the process of expiring at an alarming rate?

I investigated options and while you can do custom jobs with products from Clarke Rubber, I opted for the bespoke replacement from Exmoor as per the previous post.

Parcel service from the UK was pricey because of the 2 piece matting's weight, but I recalled that you asked about UK Spec style carpeting before as it'll be your wife's daily drive?

I can recommend EXmoor's products for quality if not economics...

    Cheers,

I think the Exmoor Defender trim kits are very good, so good the MOD bought 8000 of them... bet they got a good price.

I cant say the same about there Hoods, totally useless here, and poor design...

Series seats excellent have had a number in for clients, and a set for our own Series.

Thanks Lou, A great thread & I may get around to this one day. Mine is a TD5 so seems strange that it should be so worn after just 325,000kms. May take it back to Southern Land Rover!

Would the whole kit fit in a suitcase, we have 30kg luggage allowance on QF?

    Hi Nigel,

Obviously they are bespoke for the engine and associated gearbox, but the Tdci/ Getrag arrangement was in 2 pieces with the seat box piece the most ungainly. It arrived in a box around 600mm square and a little higher. It won't fold as you'll damage it and cause white "fold scars" (one of the few installation instructions).

I reckon you would struggle to fit it in a suitcase to be honest, but should be inside the weight limit.

Might be worth to DHL it to yourself in Australia the day before you fly back...?

    Cheers,

    Lou

    New "90"?...Seat box "corner wear"?

So I found this thread some years ago and have owned a couple of defenders since. Each suffering the same issue with the wear, even at just a few months old the corners were all but worn through from me getting in an out of the car. So now a couple of defenders later I had a solution before the car arrived new from the dealer. Being an owner of a limited run celebration series defender adventure in Phoenix orange, I didn't want it looking old too quick. So I've sourced from overseas some perfect fitting corner protectors that look like they should have been there from the factory. Fitted them yesterday and they are perfect. Being all but certain (considering it happened to my past 2 defenders) that many others would have suffered the same fate, I purchased some extra sets for fellow defender owners. I've got a few left if anyone is interested and if demand is high enough I can get some more within 2-3 weeks. See interior parts for sale or pm me direct and I can send you photos and details.

Appreciate the advice to all however I'm Not sure how you're saving money by buying direct? I got the attached quote just a couple of weeks ago and at the current exchange rate you are paying over double what I am charging because of the shipping and exchange rate. I'm at $45 AUD and they are at 47 GBP . At today's rate that's circa $100. I'm not here to rip anyone off.. Just thought I would get some extras for others and recover the costs.
