TD5 Clutch - It's Almost Due
Hi All
Any recommendations workshop wise? My clutch is about done...
What's the going rate for a TD5 clutch these days? Ball-park of course.
I'm in West Gippsland - but can travel to Melb for a decent price & service.
Thanks,
Mike

I was ringing around a bit the other day for one . It seems to be that the clutch alone without the flywheel is around $500. Although as little as 35 pounds from UK . I ordered a valeo one from Paddock spares uk for 85 pounds.

I think paddock have 2 options for the TD5 , the normal dual mass , and a heavy duty clutch with a normal style flywheel. Ive been looking to as my td5 is 11 years old(ive had it for 3.5 years) ,155k's but the previous owner used it to tow a fairly large boat. There is no slipping or shuddering yet but want to be ready when it does happen.
What where the signs before yours went and how many k's? Thanks.

This may be the way to go - rid the clutch of the Dual Mass Flywheel.

Mike,
While you'e in there I would suggest to have a good look at the push-rod and fork, maybe even replace. They wear each other out over the years too.
Cheers, Jurgens.
