Thread: What is the best magazine, Aussie or O/S for Defenders/Landrovers?

While living in the UK my favorite was Land Rover World, but I've not seen it on an actual news stand over here in the West.

I currently subscribe to Land Rover Monthly on the News Stand app for the iPad (only one at the time I was initially looking) and I'm contemplating Land Rover World and Land Rover International, but its just not the same as having the magazine in your hands...

Any one of the three gives you the news and lists the aftermarket suppliers. I've however not seen much lately on the Puma Defenders other than a couple inches on a charity run or sales figures here and there.

The best "magazine" is the digital one on which you asked this question, on the others you pay to look at lots of ads and bovine excrement
ps LR international will set you back about $15 at the newsagent.

I like LR International but it is dear. I don't think you can go too far wrong with any of them though

Yeah, I like it too, but $14.95 a mag from the newsagent is a bit like highway robbery to me and its all pommy stuff anyway
after a while its a repeat of the same info over and over and over again (in a different font, article heading and pictures). Save ya money and go to the local library.

The latest editions of LROI are pricey, but if you don't mind being a couple of months behind they usually get dropped to about $9-10 at the newsagents.
None of the Aussie mags do much in-depth coverage of Landys, and when they do they sometimes get it wrong.

I subscribe to Land Rover World on the iPad news stand. I used to subscribe to Land Rover Monthly on Zinio. LRW is my favourite. I have a preference for electronic distribution, so this suits me. Plus, I receive it at the time of issue.

The UK magazines are good for Land Rover info and Australian Magazines are good for info about Toyotas and adds for cheap accessories made in China. My subscription to the thickest Australian 4WD magazine finishes with the next issue. Renewal is extremely unlikely.
