I think I'll borrow a boroscope(camera on a flexable rod) from work and have a quick look around inside from time to time! Definitely don't want that sort of think going on inside!

Dave, you won't need one, you can see enough through the filler plug hole.

ALL the ones I have picked up / confirmed were detected this way.
