Does anyone know the average temperature of the returning diesel prior to it needing to be cooled to 80C? If it's not much warmer than that why Land Rover bothered to install the thing in the first place?
To be honest I thought it was an air cooled arrangement from the fins on the contraption, and supported by the free flow of air front to back through the guard. Looking at it know there is obviously too many pipes...

No issues with the "warm" diesel returning to the tank? I've got a guard so most probably not going to remove it, just interested.
