			Bulkhead wiring access 2010 Defender

After a careful look to no avail and before I find a spot in a crowded bulkhead to drill a hole to fit a grommet to carry wiring through, can any member of the forum offer information as to the position of an existing hole which I have missed. I am reluctant to drill a hole as the vehicle
has only done 24000km and I am still treating it as a new Defender
 Jim..

I'm fairly sure there are still large oval grommets on each side of the bulkhead where the wiring looms for the dash goes through. There are spare "nipples" on this grommet that you can cut and feed through. Look for large black rubber grommets on the bulkhead above the clutch master cylinder.

On the passengers side if you remove the flap under the dash there is a gromet on the other side of that in the engine bay sightly higher that is relatively un-used and easy to feed cables through.

It's the exact opposite of the Main loom hole on the drivers side.

					Jim
I have a 2012 which might not be the same, but if it is and if you are after something on the drivers side. Take off the steering wheel and associated plastic covers around the column. Then take out the instrument cluster, to do this you need to take out the plastic bits above the instrument cluster. Now to the bit you need, take off the plastic panel below the instrument cluster. If you look thru the gap on the LHS side of the steering column just exposed by taking off the little plastic cover below the instrument cluster you will be able to see the oval rubber boot that goes thru the firewall just under the hood. Cut off the nipple you need and use some welding wire to get your electrics thru.

 Hope this helps.
 Regards Glen
