Question Defender "90" order. Keswick Green with Indus Silver roof.."Not Available"?

We have a Defender "90" on order. The color we ordered was Keswick Green with an Indus Silver roof.
Just been informed today that LandRover (U.K.)will not build a keswick Green Defender with an Indus roof?
I was just wondering if any of you guys would know the "right person" at JLR or a L.R. Dealer to see if this is true, & if so, why?
    Thanks, Pickles.

Land rover snobbery? - "Kenswick green and a silver roof, if we allow this abomination where will it end?"

I've seen different colour roof's on edition release land rovers but didn't think you could just mix and match.... any one else done this?

If you cant get that combo then go with Kenswick green and a classic white roof. Better IMO. But hey if you're dead set you could just unbolt the roof to have it sprayed what ever colour you want.

I'm afraid I agree with them, green and silver does not sound like particularly good combination.

Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but Keswick Green is a solid paint and Indus Silver is a metallic paint. Having said that - do those special edition Defenders with the black roofs have metallic black or solid black paint on the roof?

Personally, my pick would be Keswich Green with a White roof, especially for a 90. Not sure why I like it more on a 90 than a 110 or 130 but I do...

I agree, Keswick w/ white looks good to me. I actually saw a 110 with those colours yesterday, looked pretty good but not as good as the 90

Saw a new defender in the storage lot at Austral that was dark green (galaway?) with a light silver roof. A little strange looking I thought.

Personally I think they've done you a favour... It would be much nicer with a white roof..

The LEs have a santorini black roof which is metallic. Think you're onto something with this and they are objecting to mixing the two styles.

Well, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I guess. We thought (still do) the Indus Silver would have gone nicely with keswick, and also blended in well with some of the other bits of the "90"....wheels, silver chequerplate etc.
It would also have made our vehicle just that little bit different.
But it's no big deal really, and a Fuji white roof it will be.
    Cheers, Pickles.
