so anyone here tried a Zeuss Timing gear kit on a Tdi. If I had Tdi it would be a priority for me & if I'd known they were available I might have considered Tdi instead of Td5 ???

Very hit and miss it seems and I'm surprised no one copy's there design and improved it

Yup just priced one off karcraft $217.85 local bloke has tracked me one down for about $176 with solid lipped gear all seals and gaskets daygo belt but I get trade off this bloke of course

Just searched my email.

It was £74.99 including postage in Feb 2012 from LRDirect.

No idea how long it took. My memory is not that good.

zues gears are good under 2 conditions

1. you get a good set that have been correctly hardened
2. you get them installed perfectly.

if you get those 2 requirements they are set and forget

I heard there was something to do with the cut of the gears causing excessive side loading to even the the case hardening coming off that could be put down to a number of factors but I sure it's been discussed to death

Correct me if I'm wrong but a td5 doesn't have a timing belt does it?
